T.R.I.P. (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program)
means
FREE MONEY!

With the rising cost of everything, wouldn't you like to have a way to reduce your tuition costs or help the O.L.P.H. Endowment Fund? Especially when it wouldn't mean any additional monies from you!!

WHAT IS TRIP?
The TRIP program is the purchasing of gift certificates and/or debit cards from OLPH to use "same as cash" at over 150 local and national vendors.

OLPH will purchase these at a discount from Great Lakes Scrip Company in Michigan and Northwest Ohio Scrip Association. GLSC and NOSA purchase certificates in bulk quantities; you then order and pay face value for your certificates through TRIP, which will be available weekly.

The OLPH Endowment Fund will receive the first 1% of all savings (difference between face value and discounted purchase price) for operating costs and to build the endowment.

The rest of the savings are then held in your OLPH TRIP account to be applied toward your designated fund. Your designated fund is chosen when you register for the program from the following list:

1) Your own tuition account 2) Another family's tuition 3) OLPH Endowment Fund

EXAMPLE
Your family purchases $100 in gift certificates from Max & Erma's Restaurant. Currently the percentage of discount is 18%. Therefore, you will have $100 in purchasing power from Max & Erma's, $1.00 is applied to the Endowment Fund and $17.00 is applied to your account as indicated on your registration form.

Percentage discounts range from 2% to 25% depending on the store. (The gift certificates are in appearance the exact certificates issued from each participating store and subject to each store's conditions. See Retailer's Policies for restrictions.)

In April 2008 you will receive a statement indicating the dollars in your account. This amount will be deducted from your family's tuition owed (or another family, which you have indicated) for the 2008/2009 school year.
