What is Stewardship?
Stewardship begins with the recognition that everything we have has been given
to us by God…our time, our talents, our money, yes, even life itself.
Stewardship is based on an understanding that "as Christian
stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them, share them
lovingly, and return them to the Lord".
STEWARDSHIP PRAYER
Almighty Father, we thank you
for all the gifts You have given to us:
our lives; our loved ones;
all that we have and all that we are.
Most of all, we thank You for Jesus,
Who was the perfect Steward of Your gifts,
showing us that complete trust in You
is necessary, and that giving of self
is a most important part of following Him.
May the time, talents, and material resources
offered by the people of Our Lady of Perpetual Help
be made in the same spirit of sacrifice
that Jesus taught us
by His life and death for us.
Unite us, Lord, in Your Spirit. Amen.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
As members of a Christian Stewardship Parish, we are seeking a spiritual
way of life based on Holy Scriptures. God is the Source of All. We will
strive toward a life as God's disciples, daily sharing God's gifts to us
of time, talent and treasure to further the word and work of Christ
within our Church, our community and the world. We will prayerfully and
joyfully give help, give hope, give thanks and give back.
